Born and raised in Georgetown, Guyana, Kirth migrated to the U.S. in 1999 and now resides in the Petworth community in Washington DC with his wife and three children.
Though “formally” educated in the computer sciences and cyber security disciplines, his journey into photography has been one filled with discoveries and is driven by an endless curiosity about the human experience, light, shapes, color, the creative process, and everything in-between.
Kirth’s wedding, family documentary, fine art and street photography has been featured in several internationally recognizable publications and has been awarded very high honors by the photography community. His work has also been exhibited galleries in Washington DC, and he is a member of numerous Washington DC and international art and photography collectives. He is also the festival coordinator for Focus on the Story 2019, developing and overseeing programming for the annual festival.
