Join the Foundry Gallery for a book making event inspired by Daido Moriyama’s Printing Show. Ivan Vartanian, author, editor and the founder of Goliga Books, will join (virtually) to talk about the original Printing Show in Tokyo (1974), its context, book making, Japanese photography of the time, and the two re-stagings of Printing Show at Aperture Foundation (2011) and inside the Tate Modern (2012). Attendees will choose and sequence images from the current exhibit—Life In Pink by Ann McCormick Saybolt—and leave with a book of their own making.
In person visitors limited to maintain social distancing.
