Development & Outreach Manager
Eric is an avid photographer. His interest in photography started in high school, while a student at The High School of Art and Design in New York City. But it wasn’t until a trip to Nepal many years later that Eric’s love of photography took off. Initially, he wanted to take photos of Mount Everest but discovered that he enjoyed taking photos of the Nepalese people even more. He discovered that the camera helped him explore their culture and the individuals he met. He enjoyed telling their stories through his lens. Since then, he has traveled throughout the world and photographed many different cultures and events. The highlight of Eric’s photography career so far has been photographing the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea for PCN Photography in New York City.
Eric has a rather diverse and interesting background. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving as an enlisted man before becoming an officer. He earned a degree in Aerospace Engineering while on active duty. After military service, he taught high school mathematics and was a police officer. Currently he works in the field of Information Technology. He is interested in Buddhism, finding that many of its teachings resonant with him; the practices on mindfulness are particularly well-suited to teaching him how to capture a moment with the camera.
