Celebrating Stories that Make a Difference
Our mission is to support and encourage visual storytellers of diverse backgrounds in bringing attention to critical issues, bridging cultural gaps and sparking social change.

Our Vision
Our goal is to become an internationally-recognized center that promotes the critical work of leading photographers and provides training and resources for visual artists to strive toward artistic, technical and ethical excellence.
Our Work
We’re an independent, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Washington, DC, founded on the driving principle that photography can spark meaningful conversations at the intersection of policy, civic engagement and visual storytelling.
To support inspirational storytelling, we organize our work around two areas:
Speakers and Exhibits

Organizing exhibits and talks, including an annual festival, around important regional, national and global issues.
Training and Resources

Providing resources, grants and training for visual artists to better tell stories important to their communities.
