The Women Photojournalists of Washington (WPOW) is hosting their annual portfolio review and seminar Feb. 16 at The Corcoran.
From WPOW’s website:
“The Seminar and Portfolio Review offers an opportunity to be inspired by our esteemed speakers and show your still, video, and multimedia work one-on-one to industry leaders in Washington, DC- a base for many of the world’s top visual journalists, editors, and publications. Editors from National Geographic, NPR, the Washington Post, the New York Times, Politico, Smithsonian Magazine, and more will be on hand to conduct the portfolio reviews.
Note: Tickets may be purchased for the speaker portion of the event only.
Attendees will have three reviews with editors of their choice. A form will be sent out one week before the event asking for reviewer preferences. We will email you review schedules at least 24 hours prior to the start of the event.
Nikon Professional Services and Canon Professional Services will be providing free clean and checks for participants!
WPOW Members receive a discount with the code WPOW2019MEMBER. Students can purchase reduced price tickets. EARLYBIRD TICKET PRICING AVAILABLE UNTIL 2/1 for everyone. Ticket sales for portfolio review will end February 7th in order to pair you with the editors of your choice. Please bring your paper tickets and be prepared to show proof of student status when you sign in.
